Jürgen Teich started with a keynote speech by Lukas Steinert (MicroSys Electronics GmbH). Lukas Steinert presented some of the hardware requirements specifically in the area of highly automated systems from industry. Prof. Dr. Christian Wenger (Leipniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics, IHP) then presented some novel approaches from materials research. Nicolas Witt (Fraunhofer IIS) discussed the current work on TinyML, among others, in his group at Fraunhofer IIS. Last but not least, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Fey (FAU) talked about AI hardware development at his institute "Computer Architecture", especially about the approach chosen in the award-winning BMBF project LO^3-ML.
