Markt&Technik: Ms. Schindler, how did you like the first embedded world after a break of almost two and a half years?

Ina Schindler: I thought it was great that I finally got to meet many interested parties and customers in person. In the last two years, many meetings were only held online. I really enjoy getting to know people in real life and talking to them. A lot of things just don't get through to the other person via online meetings. For this reason, this was my personal highlight of the trade show. Overall, there were far fewer visitors than before the Corona break. However, the conversations we had with interested parties were of a very high quality.

I was positively surprised that even customers visited us without registering. I have to say that the critical topics were not left out, but it is quite different when you deal with these critical topics - for example component unavailabilities - in personal discussions.

What was your personal highlight of the show?

One of my highlights was the great feedback we received for our trade show presence. We were able to show many new products at our booth and demonstrate that we are growing, but not in utopian proportions, but in small steps. To hear this completely unsolicited from customers or from market partners was a very nice experience for me, especially since I am also responsible for marketing at Microsys. This positive feedback is important for me. All in all, I really enjoyed being at the trade fair.

Specifically: What highlights did you present at your booth?

A very important product is the successor to the "miriac MPX-S32G274", the "miriac MPX-S32G399A", which we announced at the show. For the module, we continue to rely on processors from NXP Semiconductors, which we are transferring from the automotive sector to other industrial areas. There will also be an official announcement on this soon.

Another outstanding feature at the trade fair was our cooperation with Hailo and the AI Hailo 8 module, which is also used by many of our market competitors. We see here that our niche makes sense, in the context of Safety & Security. From a technical point of view, these were our absolute highlights, but we were nevertheless able to exhibit all other existing processor modules as well. What counts with our modules is long-term availability. Many of our projects run for ten or fifteen years or even longer. Here it is important to maintain partnerships with manufacturers who provide components for a very long time. Overall, I draw a very positive conclusion and am already looking forward to the next embedded world.
