CPM1
CPM, the first generation of 6U, single slot single board computer (SBC) for CompactPCI that integrates the Intel® Pentium® M processor with PIGMG 2.16 Support.
The CPM takes advantage of the 1,6 GHz Pentium M's low power consumption in a SBC and starts with 256MB DDR-266 RAM. All types of Pentium M Processors are supported. The CPM features one PMCX Site with Front and Rear IO, various integrated DVO/RGB, USB 2.0, ATA/150, UART and Serial ATA. A VGA/DVI connector, two USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100/1000BaseTX interface, COM1 and PMC Site are all accessible on the front panel.
Additional I/O such as Serial ATA, VGA/DVI Video, GB Ethernet, and two more USB 2.0 ports are accessible on Rear I/O modules. The two 1000BaseTX ports of the Intel 82546 are routed to the backplane in compliance with PICMG 2.16. The CPM is a very versatile module. Optional versions can be used purely as PICMG 2.16 blades and/or as CompactPCI modules in peripheral or system slot modes of operation. The PLX PCI6254 Universal bridge permits this flexibility and it supports 64 bit wide PCI interfacing at 66 MHz on the backplane. Lower power, lower cost variations of the PICMG 2.16 compliant blade that leave off the 6300ESB are also available.
Operating system support includes Windows XP®, QNX®, Linux®, and VxWorks®. MicroSys Electronics GmbH's CPM will be available in Q4/2004.

DDR-266 support with a memory bandwidth of 2.1 GB/s, Stuffing options for 256MByte, 512MByte or 1GByte.

- CompactPCI
PLX Technology's PCI 6254 dual mode universal asynchronous 64-bit, 66Mhz PCI-to-PCI bridge. Universal Bridge supports system slot and peripheral slot operation. Transparent or Non-transparent modes for multi-processing. 1 KB Buffer for efficient PCI-PCI bridging, PICMG 2.16 Compliant. Hot Swapping is supported Lower cost blade versions available without CompactPCI.
- PMC Expansion
One PMCX site with 64 bit @ 66 MHz bandwidth is available on-board. I/O is routed through the P3 connector as well as through the front panel.
- Ethernet
An Intel 82546 Ethernet controller supports two 10/100/1000BaseTX Ethernet ports routed to the P0 connector in compliance with Vita 31.1 for backplane fabric switching or for alternate routing to an optional rear I/O card. An 82541 provides one 10/100/1000BaseTX port that is accessible from the front panel.
- Graphics
6300ESB I/O Controller Hub provides an integrated 32-bit 3D core at 133 MHz. DVI/RGB is accessible at the front panel via a high-density DVI-I connector and routed through P5, optionally.
- IDE
Primary ATA/100 DMA IDE interface is accessible from the P5 connector. PIO and bus master support. Secondary IDE port is routed to a Type II compatible CompactFlash connector for on-board booting.
- BIOS
General Software's flash-based system BIOS with a variety of boot options including CD-ROM and PXE over Ethernet. Customized versions can be provided.
- Watchdog
Programmable watchdog timer for system recovery.
- Front Panel I/O
DVI-I/VGA, Dual USB 2.0, 10/100/1000BaseTX port (Intel 82541PI), COM1 and one PMCX Breakout.
- IDE and PMC I/O (routed through P5)
Low Pin Count Bus(LPC) interface runs through P5, like COM ports, Floppy Disk Controller, Mouse/Keyboard interface, and LPT1 through an LPC compatible Super I/O device. Optionally COM2 and two distinct USB 2.0 ports may be routed through P5 instead of the LPC interface for applications that cannot use a rear plug-in card. Two Serial ATA ports, two 10/100/1000BaseTX ports and a VGA/DVI port (routed through P5).
- Extended Temperature Version
Expanded temperature range and high shock and vibration operating characteristics are optional.
