| 02/10/2004 | MicroSys offers the SK520 Starter Kit with Fujitsu Coral-P Graphics Support. The board set consists of the miriac™ PM520 CPU Module, CR825 Module Carrier with Extension Modules for CAN, USB, ATA (CF) and Native TFT or RGB / DVI Output up to XGA. The miriac PM520 is powered by the Freescale MPC5200. This processor with a powerful MPC603e PowerPC core combines various integrated I/O functions like PCI, Ethernet and sound. Many existing C167 or MPC555 Platforms with CAN requirements can be easily upgraded with the miriac™ PM520 Module. The MPC5200 features an Integrated Memory Management Unit (MMU) and Critical Interrupt Processing. Both functionalities are mandatory for operation systems such as Linux, QNX and VxWorks. Due to low power consumption less than 2 Watts the PM520 doesn't require forced airflow. put The MPC5200 is on Freescale's embedded road map and is available in extended temperature (-40 °C to +85 °C).
