| 18/06/2012 | MicroSys implements customer specific control and HMI devices rapidly, for rugged and harsh environments, if needed. Certification and SW services and long term supply is provided as additional offering. As basis we rely on our wide spectrum of miriac™ MPX System on Modules and Single Board Computers utilizing Freescales Power Architecture/QorIQ, ARM® Cortex™ and X86/Intel® Atom™ CPUs. The miriac™ SBC53 with its i.MX537 ARM Cortex-8A CPU, combines a very small form factor design with a wide variety of I/O functions. A complex module -carrier design has been waived with this product, to allow low cost device solutions. Available I/Os are video, audio, RS232, USB, LAN, CAN, and SATA interfaces. Many embedded applications can be supported by that right out of the box. Typical profiles of usage for the SBC53 are HMI and control applications requiring a cost-efficient solution even suitable for harsh environments. What is special? The I/O functions from the board to the chassis are coupled via a very flexible JST connector - cable infrastructure. This is an ideal means for MicroSys to deliver rapidly complete devices and chassis variants on a very cost effective basis. Main System Features. The SBC53 supports an i.MX537 ARM Cortex –A8 single core-CPU and operates at a clock speed of 800 MHz. The board offers 2 GB DDR III- 4 MB SPI Flash and 512 KB NAND Flash memory. The available media interfaces, like video (IN/LVDS- and VGA), multi touch, audio (IN/MIC and headphone), keyboard and USB are a perfect fit for a wide variety of HMI requirements. Software Support Windows Embedded Compact 7 and Linux BSPs are offered. Middleware to address market specific requirements, like field bus solutions (e.g. CAN) embedded graphics (e.g. XiBase9, QT Embedded) or Soft-PLCs (supporting e.g. IEC 61131-3) for control applications can be provided on request.
